Rare Rapier, (Finesse), Requires Attunement
- Gives a +1 bonus to all attack and damage rolls made with this magical weapon.
- If a creature moves at least 15 feet straight towards you and misses you with an attack, you can immediately make a melee attack against them with this weapon, but without adding your ability modifier to the damage roll.
You can then also move 5 feet without provoking attacks of opportunity from that creature.- Creatures critically hit by this attack must succeed on a DC 7 Intelligence saving throw, becoming affected by the effects of the Confusion spell until the end of their next turn on a failure.
- If a creature misses you with a melee weapon attack, you can use your reaction to deal piercing damage to them equal to the difference between your AC and their Attack Roll.
- (Variant Rule! If your DM rolls in the open, or if you just don’t like the AC thing, I would replace this ability with something like giving you one 1d8 superiority die and the Riposte maneuver).
- Bringing a creature to 0 Hit Points with an attack made with this weapon allows you to gain extra 5 feet of movement you can use immediately without provoking attacks of opportunity. This extra movement speed is lost if you don’t use it immediately.
- The weapon is invisible to any creature that has not heard of it, or seen it used to make an attack.
