Rare Wondrous Item, Requires Attunement (by a spellcaster)

• Can be used as a spellcasting focus for spells from the Sorcerer, Warlock and Wizard spell lists

Spell Artillery. A magical device that was created to allow spellcasters to compete with the range of traditional ranged weapons, and to add additional power to spells that utilize this to its best potential.

• You can use your action to magically charge the Lance, making all spells you cast until the end of your next turn function as if affected by the Distant Spell metamagic option.
  • Twice per day, you can use this feature as a bonus action instead of an action. 
  • If the target of your charged spell  is 90 feet away from you or further, the spell functions as if it was cast cast with a spell slot of one level higher when calculating the damage dealt, and if it is a Spell Attack, it will cause that attack to result in a critical hit when you roll 19 or 20 on the attack roll. 

Piercing Lance. When casting a spell, you can spend your reaction and an extra spell slot of 2nd level or higher to make that spell ignore the Magic Resistance trait on the target.
